Acceptable Use Policy
Altr is an AI photo studio for editing, restoring and creating images. This policy explains what you may and may not do with it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
What you may not create or upload
- Sexually explicit content, or any sexual content involving minors (we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material and report it to the authorities).
- Content that depicts a real person in a deceptive, defamatory, harassing or non-consensual way, including sexual or intimate imagery of real people and deepfakes intended to mislead.
- Violent, hateful or extremist content, or content that promotes self-harm or illegal activity.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Images used to commit fraud, such as forged documents, IDs or counterfeit goods.
People in your photos: consent and likeness
- Only upload photos of yourself, or of people who have given you their explicit consent to edit or transform their image.
- Do not use Altr to create face swaps, deepfakes or content that puts a real person in a false or misleading situation.
- Do not use Altr to impersonate a person, or to generate content using someone's likeness without their consent.
- Altr does not offer face-swap or voice-cloning features. Tools such as AI Restore and AI Effects only transform the photos you provide.
How we enforce this
- Prompts are checked before a job runs, and unsafe requests are refused. Server-side checks apply as well.
- Anyone can report an image from inside the app, and we review reports.
- We may remove content, refuse requests, or suspend or close accounts that break this policy, without refund of unused credits where the violation is serious.
Your responsibility
You must have the right to upload the images you submit and be allowed to edit the people shown in them. You are responsible for how you use the images Altr produces.
